Sales professionals on the move can now focus on what they do best—selling—thanks to Donna, an innovative AI-powered assistant that has recently raised €1.5 million in pre-seed funding. This financial boost, sourced from both US and European investors, will enable Donna's founders to attract top talent and accelerate their ambitious expansion plans in the EU and US markets.

Revolutionizing Sales on the Go

Donna addresses a significant pain point for sales professionals who typically make 5-10 prospecting or customer visits daily. Jonas Deprez, co-CEO and co-founder of Donna, explains, “A key challenge for mobile sales reps is the efficient and accurate entry of meeting information into CRM systems. Each meeting currently takes about 20 minutes to process, which is valuable time that could be spent selling.”

The AI-driven assistant supports sales reps before, during, and after their sales interactions. By calling the salespeople post-visit, Donna ensures that CRM systems are updated accurately and promptly, while also initiating follow-up actions. This innovative approach has already attracted 200 active users and interest from leading companies across various industries, including food, business services, real estate, and construction.

Given the constraints of recording conversations at prospect locations, Donna calls salespeople after their visits to gather necessary information and update the CRM automatically. Additionally, it drafts follow-up emails to clients or prospects, significantly reducing post-meeting administrative tasks.

Experienced Entrepreneurs at the Helm

Donna is the brainchild of experienced entrepreneurs from the Ghent startup ecosystem. Nicolas Christiaen previously founded fintech company Cashforce, which was acquired by German payment platform TIS in 2022. Jonas Deprez launched retail data company Daltix, acquired by Colruyt Group in 2023.

The founding team also includes Xander Berkein as CTO and Lander T'Kindt as CPO. Xander formerly served as Team Lead at Deliverect, a Belgian unicorn, while Lander has a background at StarApps, a startup studio known for successful ventures like Realo and Bizzy.

Donna’s €1.5 million pre-seed round was led by Pitchdrive and supported by several prominent funds and angel investors from the US and Europe. This includes Everywhere Ventures, Fortino, Syndicate One, and WeLoveFounders, as well as individual investors such as Jorn Vanysacker and Gilles Mattelin (Henchman), Felix Van de Maele (Collibra), Willem Delbare (Teamleader/ Aikido) and more.
