Meet ZeroDrift: The compliance firewall every AI-powered enterprise will need

Enterprise communication has evolved. Enterprise controls have not.

Over the past few years, financial institutions have paid more than $2.2 billion in fines related to communication violations. Every major compliance platform on the market still follows the same approach: flag the problem after the message has been delivered.

Now add AI agents communicating at machine speed. Thousands of messages a day become tens of thousands. The risks do not just grow. They multiply.

That is exactly the gap ZeroDrift is addressing.

As Pitchdrive expands its footprint in the US with the launch of our New York office, we're excited to announce our investment in ZeroDrift. Pitchdrive co-led the company's $10M seed round alongside Reign Ventures, with participation from a16z Speedrun, Andreessen Horowitz's highly selective accelerator for AI-native startups. We believe ZeroDrift is building critical infrastructure for the AI era, and we expect it to be one of many exceptional companies we'll back across the Atlantic in the years ahead.

The Communication Firewall

ZeroDrift enables organizations to achieve real-time compliance by validating every outbound message against security, policy, and regulatory requirements before it is sent.

The layer sits directly inside communication channels such as Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Teams, LinkedIn, and Salesforce. Compliant messages pass. Non-compliant messages are stopped, corrected, or escalated before they create risk.

ZeroDrift is initially focused on financial services, where compliance is non-discretionary and communication failures can have significant regulatory consequences. It is a market where the pain is clear, budgets already exist, and the cost of getting it wrong is measured in billions rather than inconveniences.

Built for this

ZeroDrift is led by Kumesh Aroomoogan, founder of Accern, one of the first AI platforms built for financial services. He scaled the company to more than 100 employees, raised over $60M, and successfully exited the business in 2025. Kumesh is joined by Ashok and Anand, senior founding engineering leaders and industry experts with experience at companies like Goldman Sachs.

Building real-time communication infrastructure requires a rare combination of AI, enterprise software, security, and compliance expertise. This team has spent their careers operating at exactly that intersection.

Why Now?

Several trends are converging at once.

LLMs can now identify communication risks with sufficient accuracy to operate in real time. Browser extensions and APIs can sit natively inside communication platforms. At the same time, AI agents are dramatically increasing the volume of enterprise communication.

Together, these shifts create the conditions for an entirely new category of software: real-time communication enforcement.

We believe ZeroDrift is uniquely positioned to define that category, and we're excited to support the team on that journey.
